Why Hire a Third-Party Verifier for WELL Performance Testing?

WELL Performance Testing has become a distinctive component of high-performing buildings around the world. Every WELL project is verified through on-site, post-occupancy testing of building performance. While testing for WELL v1 projects is conducted solely by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), testing for WELL v2 projects can be performed by an approved WELL Performance Testing Organization. WELL Performance Testing Agents are employed by these approved organizations and have attended WELL PT Training facilitated by GBCI.

The WELL Certification differentiates itself from other building rating systems through Performance Verification. This crucial step in the WELL Certification process ensures that a WELL Certified building’s performance complies with the stated design guidelines and the certification’s health and wellness requirements. WELL Performance Testing agents conduct tests for various air quality, water quality, lighting, and acoustic parameters within the project boundary to ensure compliance.

A WELL Performance Testing Agent is an individual who has completed the WELL Performance Testing Agent Training, maintains high-quality ratings (both client ratings and GBCI quality ratings), and is approved to conduct various on-site performance testing for WELL v2 projects. The WELL PT Agent works directly with reviewers at GBCI to provide test results for your project during the WELL Certification process.

As a company that provides sustainable solutions for an ever-evolving world, we desired a new office headquarters that reflected the company culture and values. Located in an existing 34-story high-rise in Downtown Atlanta, our renovation project completed in 2019 tackled five sustainability certifications, including WELL v2, LEED ID+C v4.1, Living Building Challenge Materials Petal, Fitwell v2.1, and RESET certifications. With a focus on efficiency, health, and wellness in the built environment, the new headquarters is a shining example of our company’s capabilities/commitment to a healthier and more prosperous world.
