The Force Behind the Scenes: Karan Clark’s Vital Role at Epsten Group

Karan Clark’s journey through the construction industry reads like a who’s who of major firms and notable projects. With a background that includes stints at Lehrer McGovern Bovis during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Skanska for the Federal Reserve Bank project, HOK on Science and Labs at the University of Florida, and HJ Russell, Karan’s extensive experience in office management and project coordination has shaped her into the instrumental Professional Services Coordinator she is today.

Karan’s role is nothing short of crucial. Her work in office administration is the lifeline of the office. From greeting guests with a warm smile to ensuring the seamless operation of administrative tasks, Karan’s contributions are vital. She manages telephone communications, processes invoices and checks, ships essential documents and equipment, and oversees office certifications and permits. Additionally, she acts as the Employee Relations Representative, acknowledging staff life events and directing callers to the appropriate business departments.

Karan’s responsibilities don’t end there. She is also a licensed notary, manages the notarization of legal documents, and ensures office sustainability by caring for plants and coordinating quarterly townhalls and social events. In her role, Karan supports staff in focusing on their important project work, knowing that their needs will be efficiently managed.

Karen enjoys her role deeply but for her, the beauty of working at Epsten Group lies in the ethnic diversity and close-knit atmosphere of a small office environment. Having worked at large corporations in the past she appreciates the opportunity to connect with colleagues on a personal level and the ease of knowing who to approach for various work needs. She enjoys Epsten Group’s quarterly Townhall meetings and social events that foster relationship and team building, allowing Karan to enjoy casual interactions with the firm’s staff and principals.

Beyond the office Karan is passionate about life, family, and nature—particularly birds, trees, flowers, plants, the sun, moon, stars, and oceans. Her love for the natural world ties into her commitment to sustainability and her personal well-being. She is mindful of her wellness and believes it’s imperative to take care of the earth for future generations.

Karan’s story is a testament to the importance of adaptability, dedication, and a deep love for both people and the planet. She is, without a doubt, an essential part of the Epsten Group team.
