Stepan Company Breaks Ground on Agronomic Laboratory Complex

This week shovels hit the dirt in Winder, Georgia, as we celebrated the groundbreaking of Stepan Company’s Agronomic Laboratory Complex. Designed by Epsten Group based on the concept design provided by Worley, the new complex includes a 6,000 SF showcase Agronomic Laboratory, a separate 4,000 SF Formulation Laboratory, and on-site Greenhouse and Head House facilities. Maximizing our internal capabilities throughout the project team, we will also be providing Systems and Enclosure Commissioning for the laboratories in addition to performing the LEED Consulting, Energy Modeling, and Environmental Life-Cycle Assessment services as the project pursues LEED-NC v4 Silver certification.

Working closely with our construction partners Construction Works, Inc. for this Design-Build project, the complex is slated for completion by December 2020.  We are excited to break ground on this innovative project for Stepan Company as a part of our team’s mutual commitment to responsible stewardship of our environment to help create a healthier world.
