From Service to Solutions: The Inspiring Journey of Jay Nasirifard

Every great team has someone whose story reminds us what dedication truly looks like. For Epsten Group’s Jay Nasirifard, that story spans continents, careers, and a steadfast pursuit of excellence.

After relocating to the United States in 2001, Jay’s first position was unloading materials at a JCPenney warehouse. His drive to learn and adapt quickly led him into the vehicle mechanic field, where he spent more than a decade advancing from technician to manager.

In 2009, Jay took his skills to a new level of service by joining the U.S. military as a linguist. His three years in Kandahar, Afghanistan shaped his discipline, resilience, and leadership, traits that continue to define his work today.

Following his military service, Jay spent four years at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as a maintenance technician before joining Epsten Group in March 2020. His attention to detail, punctuality, and positive attitude quickly made him an indispensable part of the Building Commissioning team.

As an Assistant Project Manager, Jay ensured contractors used the correct materials and followed precise installation procedures to prevent moisture and water intrusion. From inspecting roofs and windows to reviewing drawings and submittals, he approached every task with care and accountability.

Today, Jay has been elevated to Testing Manager, a role that reflects both his technical expertise and trusted leadership. In this position, he coordinates building enclosure testing across the department, working closely with project managers to plan, execute, and verify testing activities that support high-performing, durable buildings. His ability to connect field execution with project strategy has become a critical asset to the team.

One project that stands out for Jay took place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where the ocean offered peaceful walks after long workdays, a perfect balance between focus and reflection.

For Jay, sustainability is personal. “It’s about making responsible choices in life and work,” he says. When asked what he loves most about working at Epsten Group, his answer is simple yet powerful. “Understanding employment, communication, mutual support, and most importantly, feeling like part of a family are what matter to me.”

Jay’s journey, from serving his country to leading building enclosure testing efforts, embodies Epsten Group’s spirit of resilience, collaboration, and continuous growth.

“Thank you to all team members for your hard work, including the bosses,” he adds with heartfelt appreciation.
