Epsten Group’s New Building Enclosure Department Manager

Epsten Group is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mickey Leso as Building Enclosure Department Manager. Mickey joined Epsten Group in the summer of 2018 as Senior Building Enclosure Project Manager and has worked diligently to enhance the building enclosure department’s productivity and outreach. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building enclosure, roofing, and waterproofing projects; including coordination with both internal and external team members, client outreach and support, strategic planning, and business development.

Mickey has over 18 years of experience in the AEC industry, specializing in building enclosure services for over 12 years. He attended Pennsylvania State University where he obtained an integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree and a Minor in Architecture. He maintains an active professional architectural engineering (PE) license and as a LEED Green Associate is committed to encouraging green building practices. Mickey’s experience spans across numerous markets, including education, healthcare, mission critical, government, multi-family residential, commercial/corporate, hospitality/recreational, and industrial sectors. He provides consulting expertise for many building enclosure projects, including new construction and existing facility investigation, planning, and repair/restoration design, ranging in size and complexity.

As a passionate and hard-working leader in the built environment, Mickey has contributed to professional organizations including IIBEC/RCI, ICRI, A4LE, GASFA, USGBC, NRCA, and BEC-Atlanta. He engages in community outreach, giving presentations and lectures, and mentoring others about advancing the building enclosure profession and the importance of high-performance buildings.

His extensive knowledge of the successful evaluation, design, construction, and performance of building enclosure components paired with his devotion to creating efficient building systems makes him an invaluable and appreciated member of the Epsten team. We look forward to Mickey’s continued success in this new role and anticipate great things to come for our building enclosure department under his leadership.
