The project covers Phase II of the Interdisciplinary STEM Research Building (ISRB II) with 100,000 gross square feet. The new building accommodates UGA’s expanding Engineering faculty and other material scientists, especially those who already collaborate with Chemistry faculty as the facility will also accommodate the expanded Chemistry faculty who teach courses and offer research opportunities that are fundamental to a number of the STEM majors. The facility optimizes collaborative interactions and innovation in engineering, chemistry, and related STEM sciences for students and researchers. Some of the commissioning tasks included OPR development, MEP design reviews, submittal reviews, site visits, functional performance testing, and seasonal testing.
