Epsten Group’s New Building Enclosure Technician

Ryan Anderson describes working at Epsten Group in one word, “dynamic”. You could use that same word to illustrate Anderson, too, based on his progressive journey to becoming Epsten Group’s newest Building Enclosure Technician. In 2017 he graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a Chemistry Minor from Georgia Southern University. Three years later he earned his Master of Healthcare Administration from the same learning Institution. After a year-long fellowship at a large hospital system in South Carolina, Anderson moved to Atlanta to work with a commercial roofing company. Harnessing the skills he learned at the roofing job, Anderson now applies them to his new role with the Epsten Group team.

Anderson’s draw to the role of Building Enclosure Technician was based on his interest of learning specialized skills and the collaborative nature of interacting with new people on a regular basis. This unique position allows the incumbent to be the first professional to observe a project and all the potential issues associated with the ongoing work. By utilizing the knowledge and expertise of the team, the Building Enclosure Technician earns clients’ trust by educating them on the lifespan and condition of the structures under examination. Anderson’s daily responsibilities include roofing equipment testing, drafting issue reports, and overseeing large-scale work sites in the field.

In addition to the work of his role, Anderson appreciates the compassionate culture that Epsten Group offers. The positive work-life harmony fosters space for family time, life events, and extracurricular passions, some of which for Anderson include motor sports, outdoor activities with friends, and learning about interesting and new subjects. Anderson also shares a love of our Earth’s natural resources. He feels that we must all work together to diminish the inequality to access of resources that are present in today’s society. To him, sustainability is researching and discovering new ways to responsibly preserve the planet’s resources and leveraging technologies that greatly improve the quality of life for all.
