Project Description

After a busy 2004 hurricane season, in which their house was severely damaged, John and Pamela Paré of Orlando, Florida, decided to rebuild their home and hired The Epsten Group as no environmentally sound architect could be found closer. The completed residence is the first project in the state of Florida to achieve a Silver certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) for Homes pilot program.

Epsten Group, Inc. is proud to be the Architect for this very environmentally friendly home. The design saved a central courtyard tree. Construction used insulating concrete forms and features high-efficiency, energy-saving windows and doors along with solar water heating. Many of the materials used are recycled or from renewable sources. The interior uses urea formaldehyde- free cabinetry.
